Biometrical Standards Support add-on for FingerCell EDK

Neurotechnology offers Biometrical Standards Support (BSS) add-on for FingerCell EDK. The BSS add-on allows to integrate the support for fingerprint template and image format standards to existing biometric systems based on FingerCell EDK.

Add-on description

The BSS add-on allows to integrate fingerprint template and image format support into FingerCell-based biometrical systems. These standards are supported:

  • ISO/IEC 19794-2:2005 (Finger Minutiae Data)
  • ISO/IEC 19794-4:2005 (Finger image data)
  • ANSI/INCITS 378-2004 (Finger Minutiae Format for Data Interchange)
  • ANSI/INCITS 381-2004 (Finger Image-Based Data Interchange Format)
  • ANSI/NIST-ITL 1-2000 (Data Format for the Interchange of Fingerprint, Facial, & Scar Mark & Tattoo (SMT) Information)

Add-on structure and supported platforms

The BSS Add-on for FingerCell includes:

  • Biometrical standard support components for all mentioned standards
  • Template conversion components for ISO/IEC 19794-2:2005, ANSI/INCITS 378-2004 and ANSI/NIST-ITL 1-2000 fingerpint template standards
  • Documentation

The included components can be used from C/C++ applications. The add-on supports platforms based on ARM processor architecture. Libraries for Windows CE and ARM Linux operating systems are provided.

System requirements

The BSS add-on for VeriFinger runs on embedded devices with ARM-based processors and Microsoft Windows CE or Linux operating systems. The system requirements for the BSS add-on are the same as the system requirements for FingerCell Library EDK.
